Motivational Speaking
My left foot serves as my two hands. It has allowed me to earn a college degree, work as a journalist, complete over 40 marathons, and now begin motivational speaking. I truly believe that I have a story that can be used to motivate the able-bodied and the disabled, young and old, and just about anyone who will listen. When I started motivational speaking I began for one reason; to inspire!
I want to convey my message to all different types of audiences from students to athletes, to huge corporations. Regardless of the size of the group or the industry they work in, the message is universal: “Impossible Is Nothing!”
My story simply illustrates what can be accomplished when an individual is determined and willing to work hard for what they believe in

Athletic Accomplishments
- First wheelchair athlete to make a public high school track team in RI, 1990
-Won several Regional and National Championships in track & field
- Carried the Olympic Torch in 1996 as a community hero
-Ran for Leukemia Society’s “Team in Training” 1998
- -Represented the USA in the British Open Athletic Championships 2003, Birmingham England
-New England Athlete of the Year 2003
- 2005 Cerebral Palsy World Games –captured 2 World Championships
-Wheelchair soccer teams, RI, Mass, Conn., named to East All Star Team 3 times
-Inducted into the New England Wheelchair Athletic Association’s Hall of Fame, 2008
-Completed 47 marathons, working to the goal of 51 career marathons
-Assisted in the creation of the Mobility Impaired Division at the Boston Marathon
- Currently a member of the Providence Ronald McDonald House Running Club
